New Tenenge Partnership and FLUXO at the Babitonga Bay NFE Terminal
With recognized experience in highly complex projects in natural gas conditioning systems, FLUXO was selected by Tenenge and New Fortress Energy (NFE) in August 2021 to supply the gas conditioning system of the new liquefied natural gas terminal ( LNG) from Babitonga Bay, in Santa Catarina. Tenenge, a traditional industrial engineering company, will be responsible for implementing the project.
Also known as the South Gas Terminal (TGS), the project has a berth where an FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit), responsible for receiving and storing the LNG and restoring it to a gaseous state. TGS will be able to store 160,000 m³ of LNG and regasify 15 million m³ per day.
Tenenge's project also includes a 31 km gas pipeline to connect to the Brazil-Bolivia Gas Pipeline (Gasbol), operated by TBG in Garuva, Paraná. For this supply, FLUXO leads a partnership with Gascat, a traditional manufacturer of heaters and control solutions for natural gas. The strategy adopted is to supply skid-mounted modules for filtration systems, heating, pressure regulation, fiscal measurement, chromatography and utilities. For this, FLUXO has a structure dedicated to the manufacture of skids with technological predominance in Santana de Parnaíba-SP.
The adjustment skids will be composed of Masoneilan / Baker Hughes valves - for precise control of delivery pressure in the duct. The fiscal measurement station systems will feature state-of-the-art QSonic ultrasonic meters and modern Encal 3000 chromatographs, both manufactured by Honeywell Elster, and FLUXO will be responsible for the initial verification process with IPEM.
Gascat has its own technology for heaters, essential equipment for heat recovery prior to the regulation process.
NFE is a global energy and natural gas infrastructure company with large investments in energy transition acceleration projects. In early 2021, NFE acquired Hygo Energy Transition and Golar LNG Partners in deals worth $5 billion, becoming the leader in FSRU and LNG carrier operations, as well as a pioneer in floating liquefaction technology.
NFE's investment in the project, in the order of R$ 400 million, is essential for increasing the supply of gas in the states of Santa Catarina and Paraná, contributing to the improvement of infrastructure and competitiveness of the local industry.
Natural Gas is the energy transition fuel and plays an important role in changing the world's energy matrix and in the decarbonization process. In Brazil, FLUXO is the supplier of the main projects in LNG terminals, in addition to wells onshore natural gas production, with complete solutions for measuring, treating and conditioning natural gas, within its own digital transformation system.
