Flow part to conquer the mining market

Samarco transports its Iron Ore production through the Samarco pipeline, considered the longest in the world, with 396 km connecting the municipality of Mariana-MG to Anchieta-ES. With the objective of expanding the pipeline's capacity from 13.3 to 16.5 million tons of iron ore pulp per year, Samarco approved the construction of a third pumping station, 150km from the start of the pipeline in Mariana, in the city of Matopi.

Fluxo, extending its activities to the Mining, Steel, Paper and Cellulose markets, was able to contribute to the realization of this great project, by supplying Valvtechnologies' high performance 20" Full Passage Ball Valves, equipped with hydraulic actuators from Valvtechnologies. Shafer.
Valvtechnologies valves are prepared to withstand highly abrasive processes of ore transport through pipelines, thanks to the internal hardening process driven by the RAM (Rocked Applied Material) system. The valve is capable of reaching high levels of hardness and surface resistance, achieving long periods of durability, which allows Valvtechnologies to offer a factory warranty of up to 4 years, one of the longest on the market.

Valvtechnologies obtained the trust of Samarco after installing a valve, by way of demonstration, in the discharge of one of the pumps in this same pipeline. The valve has continued to work at the Germano mine, in Mariana, since its installation last November.
