BR and Shell acquire Fluxo / Jordan VRUs
Petrobras Distribuidora and Shell demonstrated their environmental awareness by installing, in some of their terminals, equipment that recovers tons of hydrocarbons that would be emitted into the atmosphere for the production system. These are five new Jordan Technologies Vapor Recovery Units (VRUs), supplied by Fluxo.
The VRUs use activated carbon technology to retain the hydrocarbons emitted during the loading of the tanker trucks. All VRUs will be provided on a TurnKey basis and will comply with the terminal process conditions. The predictive maintenance will be carried out by Fluxo and Jordan, who will set up a remote supervision center for the installed units.
The Jordan and Fluxo partnership supplies and manufactures vapor recovery units in Brazil for road, rail and maritime terminals, for dark, light and volatile chemical products. VRUs are manufactured with the two types of existing technologies: with activation and carbon regeneration by dry type pumps, or with liquid seal, although Fluxo's recommendation is always installation with dry type pumps.
