Laboratory structure flow to perform initial verification of chromatographs

Per Daniel Barros

At the end of last year, Fluxo carried out, for the first time in its own laboratory, the initial verification of Honeywell Chromatographs that have a Model Approval Ordinance (PAM).

Initial Verification (VI) is the process in which every instrument that will have a fiscal or custody transfer function must be submitted, before being installed. These Instruments require the Model Approval Ordinance (PAM) in effect. INMETRO is responsible for this entire approval process and delegates the follow-up of the VIs to IPEM-SP.

The structuring of Fluxo's laboratory was carried out in accordance with the requirements prescribed in INMETRO Ordinance No. 272 of June 10, 2014, such as the use of Registered Material of Origin (MRC Gas), air-conditioned room and qualified professionals for these activities.
In this process, the verified and approved chromatograph receives the IPEM-SP seal and seal. However, for this, the results presented by the analyzer must be within the limits established in Ordinance No. 272.

“In our laboratory, we have already performed the Initial verification of some Encal 3000 chromatographs, from Honeywell Elster, all of them successfully”, celebrates Fluxo's director of operations Daniel Barros. Fluxo has the representation of this analyzer exclusively in the national territory, in addition to having a quality team for commissioning, startup and technical assistance for this fantastic instrument. The Encal 3000 PAM was issued in Inmetro/Dimel Ordinance No. 208, of July 6, 2020.
Fluxo's Laboratory also has the necessary conditions and structure to carry out the initial checks on flow computers and presets, in accordance with INMETRO Ordinance No. 499, of October 2, 2015. This will be the subject of a future edition of our Newsletter.
