Automind and Macaé: expanding activities
Last month, the Automind office in Macaé/RJ completed its first anniversary. The opening of the branch was driven by the signing of a contract with Emerson to provide automation services for the fiscal measurement project for Petrobras' largest asset in the Campos Basin, the Marlim asset, which required the execution of services locally.
Since the beginning of its operation, the Automind office in Macaé has brought growth and promoted the opening of new horizons for the company. In addition to fulfilling the Ativo Marlim contract, the branch is developing activities for the State Gas Company (CEG) in Rio de Janeiro, and also for the P-47 and P-52, in the area of fiscal measurement.
The Macaé team, led by engineer Giovanni Scuccato, initially had a staff of 4 engineers. Today, it already works with 10 employees, in addition to all the necessary infrastructure to serve Petrobras UN/BC and UN/RIO and other companies in the region. The office is equipped with all the necessary equipment, including two Alpha workstations, in addition to iFix, Intouch and VXL software development licenses, with the respective operating software licenses (Windows and VMS).
“Due to the increase in the volume of work at the office today, we are forecasting, still in 2005, its physical expansion and the hiring of two more employees to carry out technical and commercial activities”, says Scuccato.
