Baker Hughes supplies safety valves for Petrobras' P-79 platform
FLUXO and Consolidated, from Baker Hughes Group, celebrate another great success in Brazil: more than US$ 2 million in orders granted by SAIPEM for the supply of safety valves for the P-79 platform, including the newly-developed API 10/15k valve design.
The P-79 platform, owned by Petrobras, is being built by the SAME joint venture, formed by Saipem and DSME. Its planned capacity is to process 180,000 barrels of oil per day as of 2025, when it will start operations.
The API 10/15K spring-operated and pilot-operated valves represent another great project developed by Baker Hughes. The high-pressure valves combine two-phase certification technology (liquid and gas) as defined by API 520 Part 1 - 10th Edition and ASME B & PVC Code Case 2787, with robust design and forged block body for applications in high-pressure compression systems and platform auxiliary systems. Consolidated has been in business for more than 140 years, providing innovative technical solutions for the world's most challenging overpressure protection applications. FLUXO operates as its exclusive distributor in Brazil for the oil & gas segment, with local stock and technical assistance.
