Skarpenord AS has been in the market since 1970 and is one of the world's leading suppliers of remote valve control systems for the shipping and offshore industries. Skarpenord's remote valve control system includes actuators for operating ball, butterfly, gate and globe valves. Actuators are, among others, used for various process valves, loading and unloading systems and ballast systems in floating installations.

Control circuits for actuator / valve operation can be controlled from a centralized system or a “stand-alone” PC / PLC system supplied by Skarpenord. Made-to-measure hydraulic units are also part of the product line delivered to the offshore segment.
