Flow invests in factory in Santana de Parnaíba

One of the most important initiatives in Fluxo's history was the consolidation of its manufacturing operation in Santana de Parnaíba, with a new 2,400 m² factory in two warehouses. In addition to guaranteeing a larger area for manufacturing and assembly, the areas of stock, engineering office, contract management, construction and supply management were also improved and expanded. The new factory started operating in the 1st half of this year.

Differentials of the new factory

  •  It is located in an industrial district;
  • It has infinite layout options for manufacturing and assembly, with a wide area and natural and LED lighting;
  • 12 ton overhead crane;
  • Stock area with access control;
  • People, processes and products approved ASME, AWS, ISO9000;
  • Manufacturing and hydrostatic testing of systems up to 2500 pounds;
  • Procedures approved by ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and AWS (American Welding Society), for thicknesses up to 25.4mm.
  • All welds are carried out by qualified welders and tested according to the required requirements.
  • After our systems are assembled, the skids are delivered to the customer fully assembled, painted, tested, resulting in considerable time and cost savings compared to traditional field manufacturing.

12 ton overhead crane

In July 2020, Fluxo began installing the crane with a capacity of 12 tons. The process was completed last October and the bridge is operational, with this the factory has consolidated the movement of cargo through its dock for trailers of up to 22 meters, ensuring safety and agility in its cargo movements.

The installation of the bridge allowed for a 5-fold increase in cargo handling and production capacity. Very soon, Fluxo plans to install the second crane.

“The installation of the crane is the first step in the plan to expand the business of maintaining large equipment at the factory. Our ambition is to start the maintenance of coke drum valves and FCC plants in 2021, services that will lead us to the installation of new bridges and equipment for heavy mechanics”, explains Daniel Barros, Director of Operations at Fluxo.

All of Fluxo's facilities, including the new overhead crane, meet the requirements of the applicable Brazilian Regulatory Standards (NBRs), ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and partners in the first place.
