In March of this year, Fluxo opened a support center in Singapore, with the aim of monitoring more closely the opportunities of FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading) projects, which are commonly contracted and built in this region.
Southeast Asia, in addition to being much sought after by ship operating companies, is also dedicated to the construction of FPSOs, due to the numerous shipyards in the region.
The Singapore office will provide the necessary support for Fluxo's activities in Brazil and also for partners looking to develop business in the region. The territory that will be covered by this subsidiary comprises Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Taiwan.
The main attribution of the new office will be the development of business from the proximity to the operators and shipyards, and also to publicize Fluxo's qualification regarding the provision of after-sales technical assistance services for our partners' equipment, as well as helping the local companies to interpret and understand Petrobras requirements for certain applications of FPSO topside process equipment/systems.
Fluxo Singapore will work, in principle, with engineering companies and shipyards contracted by Petrobras for its own fleet, but also with operators operating in Brazil such as Modec, SBM, Yinson, Keppel, Sembcorp, Altera Infrastructure, Misc among others.
This advanced support center will also be Fluxo Brasil's link with local engineering companies/shipyards, assisting and providing assistance in relation to Brazilian legislation, norms, regulations and metrological control.
These activities, among others, will be coordinated by Harry Huang, executive director recently hired by Fluxo to coordinate the activities of the new support center in Singapore.
Harry, a native of Singapore, is a mechanical engineer graduated from the University of Singapore and post graduated in marketing and finance from IMUK, and has over 30 years of experience and extensive knowledge of the oil & gas industry in Southeast Asia.
