Flow starts Partnership with Honeywell in the Industrial Combustion Area
Flux Soluções Integradas started a partnership with the newly formed area of industrial combustion of Honeywell, HTS (Honeywell Thermal Solutions). In this new stage, the portfolio is focused on Industrial Flame Monitoring (IFM) and the integrated industrial combustion management system, through the SLATE™ controller. The result of this partnership increases the portfolio of Fluxo products and solutions to meet the challenges of the refining and petrochemical industry.
Recently, Fluxo and HTS developed a project to solve a difficulty in detecting a flame in a Revap CO boiler (Henrique Lage Refinery), in São José dos Campos-SP. This challenging project was delivered at the beginning of August, is in the final stage of start-up and adjustments and has shown good results.
The flame detection system acquired by Revap consists of 4 power supply and rearrangement panels and 16 Honeywell explosion-proof flame detectors, model U2-1010S with Modbus communication with the supervisor, and the entire project was developed by Fluxo engineering in partnership with the Honeywell team.
The issue of boiler operational safety was one of the main reasons Revap acquired this detection system, in addition to the search for a product capable of performing flame detection during the burning of "CO" as fuel, and not only of the initial burning with natural gas.
The supplied material has 8 flame signature profiles, and the profile change can be carried out remotely without the intervention of an operator. This profile exchange was successfully validated during commissioning, when the flame signature was configured for burning natural gas and another for burning CO. In addition, Honeywell's flame detector has as a fundamental feature the ability to monitor flames with UV, IR and UVSS automatically, depending on the flame characteristic and the settings of gain, filter, detector position, among others. .
The project scope was not limited to equipment. Fluxo also provided the design, specifications, assembly details and interconnections, assembly supervision, commissioning, start up and training.
