Flux sells Curtiss-Wright valves to Labgene and opens up prospects in the nuclear sector
Fluxo completed the sale of all process solenoid valves for the Nuclear Power Generation Laboratory (Labgene) project at the Navy Technological Center in São Paulo (CTMSP). The company responsible for supplying and integrating Labgene's protection and control system selected Target Rock to supply the project's 264 valves.
Target Rock is a company of the Curtiss-Wright group, represented exclusively by Fluxo in Brazil. Founded in 1968, it is a manufacturer of special valves for critical services related to the safety of nuclear applications. Its flagship product is the process solenoid valve for on/off and modulating applications, with sizes up to 6” and pressure ratings up to 2500 psi.
Labgene is an undertaking under development under the responsibility of the Brazilian Navy and aims to train the country in nuclear power generation. The laboratory will be an onshore nuclear experimental facility, and therefore follows the conventions and rules for licensing nuclear power plants in accordance with CNEN requirements.
Thus, Fluxo takes an important step in the nuclear energy sector, opening perspectives for new supplies. Due to its tradition and experience in automation and instrumentation with first-rate technologies, Fluxo reinforces its vocation, supporting the country's development and establishing its presence in a market with great potential.
