Flow Solutions will modernize LPG loading and distribution system at Revap
Revap is one of Petrobras' largest refineries, located in the Vale do Paraíba region in the city of São José dos Campos – SP. The C5+ LPG Project consists of a new plant for the reprocessing and distribution of C3 (LPG) and C5+ (condensate) from the UTGCA (Caraguatatuba Gas Treatment Unit) through two new pipelines (OCVAP le ll). The gas treated at UTGCA is extracted from the Lula and Mexilhão platforms, in the Santos Basin.
Potencial Engenharia was the winner of the Revap tender, a project considered one of the largest being carried out by Petrobras this year, which includes a fractionation plant, an in-line LPG mixing system to correct the density specification, LPG storage area with five spheres (with future expansion with three more) and two C5+ tanks, a new substation and adaptation of an existing one, pump park, in addition to interconnections and a drainage system.
To execute the Revap project, Potencial established a partnership with Fluxo to supply the Tank Telemetry System in the TRL2 network, a Valve Remote Control System with total redundancy in the Rotork/Pakscan network, a modern EMED (measuring station) with Daniel's Mini Prover - a company of the Emerson Group - for shipping LPG to gas distribution companies, and a modern Botton Load road loading system, with seven bays, developed by Fluxo's Integrated Solutions and Innovation division.
“After two years of Fluxo's work on this project, from the very beginning, with the project engineering team at Revap, and later with the team at Potencial and its engineering contractor, Promon, we were able to overcome the challenges that the the project demanded, thus obtaining a favorable technical opinion for our proposed integrated solution and thus we received the purchase order at the end of June with an aggressive delivery target this year”, said Fluxo's account manager Marcos Cabral.
To ensure a reliable, robust and accurate measurement of the LPG shipped, both through EMED for gas distributors and through the truck loading system, Coriolis meters from the Emerson Elite family were used, with a special calibration, thus obtaining uncertainty. of the order of 0.5%, and control actuators with a resolution of 0.1% with a brushless motor from the Rotork CVA family.
Fluxo is committed to meeting the established delivery deadline with the use of modularized integrated solutions for the loading and EMED system, allowing work outside the refinery in a controlled environment, requiring only electrical, instrumentation and hydraulic interconnections in the field. To meet the severe restrictions on leakage and fugitive emissions, it was necessary to use special valves with international certifications.
