FPSOs will have their tank and valve levels controlled by Emerson MTM and Flow systems

Fluxo and Emerson MTM (Marine Tank Management) will provide the Enseada do Paraguaçu Shipyard with the system to monitor the level of cargo and ballast tanks (ballast) and the remote valve control system for the four FPSO ships: P-74, P-75, P-76, P-77 of the Transfer of Rights. The EEP consortium, formed by the companies Norberto Odebrecht, OAS and UTC Engenharia, and whose technological partner is the Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Industries, operates at the Inhaúma Shipyard located in the neighborhood of Caju, on the banks of the Guanabara Bay-RJ.

The MTM system includes Rosemount Marine radar level measuring instruments for 14 cargo tanks and Damcos hydrostatic pressure type for 20 ballast tanks, in each ship. All these instruments are connected to a panel that will be in the CCR Cargo Control Room from which it will communicate with the two workstations, one for monitoring and the other that will do the ship's load and stability calculations, in addition to the redundant communication with the VMS Vessel Monitoring System.

For the remote control system of the valves, a hydraulic unit will be provided, which will be in the engine room, and 13 solenoid panels, two of which will be in the engine room and the others on the main deck, which will command the 200 butterfly, ball and globe valves along the ship's hull, all actuated with hydraulic actuators from Damcos.

Marine Tank Management, which belongs to the Emerson Group, is a division that brings together world leaders who have been active in the marine market for over 50 years, such as Damcos and Rosemount Marine, which together provide a complete solution for monitoring and controlling cargo tanks and ballast for all types of ships and offshore units.

MTM has a large installed base in Brazil. Its last supply was for platforms P-58 and P-62, and it recently signed a contract with Jurong and will supply Sete Brasil Participações SA's seven drillships.
