Flow develops high performance skid approved by Logum
Fluxo's Integrated Solutions and Innovations Unit has developed a high performance unloading skid for ethanol applications. The system was designed to improve truck unloading efficiency and increase terminal handling, allowing an average flow of 120 m³/h for the bi-train truck. In addition, the system is capable of monitoring the quality of the ethanol discharged, measuring in real time the alcohol concentration, density, pH and conductivity. If the ethanol is in disagreement with the operation's specifications, the interlock is automatically activated, preventing contamination of the tank with a product out of specification.
The skid is composed of a Danload 8000 flow computer, coriolis type meter (flow, density and alcohol concentration), control valve, grounding monitor, priming vessel, motor-pump set, among others.
This system was specially developed for testing at Logum Logística SA, the company responsible for collecting ethanol from plants and transporting it through pipelines. The equipment remained in operation tests at a fuel terminal and was certified as able to participate in future bids by this company. “Its operation was very satisfactory and met all of Logum's requirements” - description taken from the technical capacity certificate issued by Logum.
