Ipiranga: another one that will recover its vapors with Fluxo's URV

Fluxo consolidates itself as the company with the most supplies of Vapor Recovery Units (URV) in Brazil. In December of last year, it closed another contract with one of the largest distribution companies in the country, Ipiranga, for its bus terminal in Paulínia-SP.

In all, nine units have been delivered since the first contract in 2007: BR Tecub, BR Teplan, BR Tespa, PB Tevap, Raízen BEST, Braskem UNIB-SP, PB Recap and twice for BR Tenoas.

With an experienced team in projects, contract coordination and implementation of URVs, Fluxo builds the units in Brazil, always attentive to local regulations and customer engineering standards. Fluxo's work is supported by the know-how of Jordan Technologies (technology licensor), which guarantees an international quality standard, customized to local needs and with the guarantee of support and maintenance in Brazil.

The Ipiranga contract includes the basic design of the URV, supply, field assembly, commissioning and start-up. The reason for choosing Ipiranga was Fluxo's differential in offering experience for managing a global contract on a turn-key basis, combined with the ability to provide local support.

The unit will treat vapors from road loading, reducing volatile emissions to a limit of up to 10 mg/L, in accordance with regulations. The technology uses the adsorption/absorption process. The adsorption is done through activated carbon, which retains the molecules of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the vapors captured during loading. Before complete saturation, the coal is regenerated through a dry-type vacuum pump (ideal when ethanol is loaded) and the gas stream is directed to a column, where the absorption process takes place with the gasoline in circulation.
