FMC delivers maritime arm to CNG
Last December, FMC signed a contract to supply compressed natural gas (CNG) loading arms, corresponding to two 12” x 55' DCMAs HPNG (high pressure natural gas) arms, to be installed in Tianjin, in China.
After the construction of the HPNG arm, the FMC organized the “Demonstration Day", and invited around 50 international companies, including Saipem, Technip, ENI, EDF, KBR, GDF Suez, Hoegh and Klaipedos, to attend, at its facilities in Sens, France, the functional testing of the maritime arm for CNG 12”, with ABS certification.
On this occasion, FMC also presented the test model in 1:5 scale of the ATOL system, for unloading LNG from a FLNG (Liquefied Natural Gas Floating Unit) at sea, to bulk carriers.
Based on the good results shown by FMC's high pressure technology, Petrobras will be able to count on the company's participation in its future projects for LNG/CNG terminals. FMC has a collection of more than 120 maritime liquid loading arms installed in Brazilian terminals, with the largest market share in the market.
