Fluxo's skids will measure Bapon's road unloading
At the beginning of this October, Fluxo delivered its largest supply of skids, in quantity, to Bapon (Port Nacional Fuel Distribution Base), located in Tocantins. The ten tanker unloading skids will measure all of Bapon's road unloading for the following fuels: biodiesel 100% (B-100), diesel
with sulfur in different amounts (S-50, S-500), anhydrous ethanol, hydrated ethanol and gasoline A.
Fluxo's unloading solution will allow Bapon to quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate the product arriving at the
unit, through accurate measurements of fuel flow, temperature and density, before it is mixed with stock
stored in the base tanks, thus avoiding any contamination. Each skid is composed of: DL8000 (Emerson Process), digital control valve V788 (Emerson Process), grounding monitor 8030 (Civacon) ball valves with IQT actuators (Rotork), hydrometer (Emerson Process - Micromotion), in addition to the positive displacement flow, deaerator tank with level switches, pump, temperature sensor, basket filter and power panel. All this equipment has been “skidated”
in a compact metallic structure with dimensions of 1.5m wide by 3.5m long.
The intelligence of the DL8000 in command of the operation activates the control valve, restricting the flow in the final stage of unloading, and turns off the pump at the exact time. This feature ensures smoother operation and less wear on the unloading pump.
Bapon is currently the largest Petrobras Distribuidora project in the country. Scheduled to end in April 2013, the construction of the
base represents a major step forward for the integrated fuel transport system, which will link the center of Brazil to the ports
seafarers. With current investments, Bapon will have a storage capacity of 33 million liters of fuel
petroleum products and biofuels.
