Flow implements innovation program

Over its 40 years, Fluxo has always been associated with cutting-edge technology and innovation alongside its represented companies.
With the transition from a representation and distribution company to a provider of integrated and customized solutions,
a few years ago, the need for an internal innovation program became imperative: “characterization as an innovative company has become fundamental for Fluxo's business.

Innovation is a strategic factor, and is related to mechanisms for updating and perpetuating the business”, says Roberto Spínola,
Director of Integrated Solutions and Innovations at Fluxo. For this reason, the Integrated Solutions Business Unit also
incorporated the word to its name, becoming the Business Unit of Integrated Solutions and Innovations – and could not do without
to put this into practice.

At a board meeting held last August, the innovation committee was formalized, made up of members of the
presidency and board of directors, and the innovation group was structured, added to the Business and Product Development Management.
Fluxo's innovation program follows two lines of action:

The first is to immediately relate ideas already identified to formalize the innovation development process, both from an incremental point of view and transformative innovations.

The second is the implementation of a culture of innovation in the company. The culture of innovation can be described as:
Promotion of an environment favorable to creativity, experimentation and implementation of new ideas, which can generate a
competitive differential for the organization” – the program seeks to stimulate and motivate everyone to continually seek new alternatives, processes and products, and above all, to structure the company's means of channeling this generation of ideas, so that they become actions and results.

In this environment of searching, fostering and developing ideas, Fluxo's approach to universities and technology centers is an important and necessary step. In the first formal meeting of the committee, the priority axes for Innovation (energy, logistics and environment) were established, aligned with the strategic planning, and consequently the mission and the “business flow”. To support the program implementation process, Fluxo hired a specialized consultancy.
