Regap acquires 400 Rotork actuators

The Gabriel Passos Refinery (Regap) in Betim - Minas Gerais will have its tank park fully automated. The process will be in charge of Fluxo, which signed a Material Supply Authorization (AFM) together with Regap for 400 Rotork electric actuators. Delivery of the material will take place between July 2008 and July 2010, as the actuators are requested by the refinery.

The 400 electric actuators are all IQ model with Profibus protocol. Regap already has other Rotork actuators in its facilities, but in smaller quantities, spread throughout the refinery.

In addition to supplying the actuators, the project also includes field survey, automation design, electrical and signal installation, assembly, commissioning and equipment start-up assistance. These tasks will be carried out by Fluxo's service sector.

This was the second largest supply of Rotork actuators through Fluxo to a single Brazilian company. The biggest took place in 2002, for Trasnpetro DTNEST. In Brazil, Rotork has already surpassed the mark of 10 thousand installed actuators. Fluxo is the exclusive representative of Rotork in the country for its remote control systems for motorized valves, intelligent electric, electro-hydraulic and Skilmatic actuators.
