Emerson/Daniel provides measurement skids for P-52
The Fels Setal/Technip (FSTP) consortium, responsible for the construction of the P-52 platform, acquired oil (COMS) and gas (GFMS) measurement stations from Daniel, an Emerson group company. The supply contract was signed in November 2004, in the amount of 6 million dollars. Both the oil and the gas produced will be measured by the equipment supplied by Fluxo/Emerson, in accordance with ANP regulations. The forecast is that the P-52 will come into operation in 2007.
In the oil measurement part, three measurement skids will be provided. The fiscal metering skid will use ultrasonic meters. The other two skids will be located after the test separator and production separator, and will use Micro Motion's Coriolis gauges. The flow computers will be made by Emerson (S-600).
For gas measurement, Emerson will supply several measurement sections composed of elements such as: stainless steel and carbon steel tubes, profiler-type flow rectifiers, plate changer device, multivariable transmitters and flow computers.
Consistent with the policy of nationalization of industries, the measurement stations will be manufactured in Brazil (Sorocaba-SP), guaranteeing the presence of more than 60% of national content, in accordance with the Federal Government's precept for this undertaking.
The P-52 will be a semi-submersible platform that will operate in the Roncador field, located in the Campos Basin, at a water depth of 1800m. It will have a production capacity of 180 thousand barrels of oil per day and gas compression of 9.3 million Sm3/day. Its activity will contribute to the achievement of self-sufficiency in Brazilian oil production.
