André Gonçalves left us
Due to a tragic automobile disaster that occurred on October 14th, André physically left us. It is with great emotion that I remember that day, in 1992, when, still very young, he joined our company, starting to make his contribution with great competence. He was the studious type. After completing his chemical engineering course at the Federal University of Bahia, he joined the University of Bologna, specializing in chemical engineering focused on petrochemistry. One day, I found out that he was also studying medicine, without his own family knowing. Your brothers are doctors. Then I said: "after all, André, you
want to be what?” He decided to focus on engineering, becoming, within Fluxo, one of the most notable engineers
specialists in telemetry applications, automation of valve telecommand systems, and loading arms.
oil & gas on ships. He trained a number of interns who, today, are at the forefront of the company. In addition, it earned the respect of all our partners, such as Rosemount, Rotork and FMC who, like us, left words on record.
of longing and recognition on the sad day of farewell.
The 20 years of living with André were one of mutual learning. He was very cultured, spoke three languages fluently.
(English, Italian and German), in addition to Portuguese. He did a Masters in Administration, showing himself to be assiduous and interested in all the opportunities that might open up for courses and seminars. For me, he was one of Fluxo's talents, part of the company's body of knowledge. André was a “quiet” type. I wasn't talking much, but when asked, I opened my heart and we had a good laugh.
We often travel together to various parts of the world. On one of our trips to Gothenburg, we arranged to return by car to Copenhagen, via Lund, the Swedish university city. We crossed the bridge that joins Sweden and Denmark, and that night we met all the British pubs in Copenhagen. It was a beautiful night! We never drink so much beer from different regions of the world.
I have happy memories of André, and these I want to keep forever!!!
