Flow restructures your organization
In order to make its operations more adequate to the present reality, Fluxo is introducing changes in its organizational structure. CLICK TO SEE OUR ORGANIZATION CHART >>
A Board of Directors was created, which will initiate a process of renewal of its management staff, aiming at the succession of current executives. In principle, it will go to the Sérgio Pato Board, which will emanate from the position of vice-president of Fluxo after a 23-year contribution to the company, guided by the experience acquired in 25 years at Petrobras. The Board will have five members, three of whom must be from people outside the organization.
Another important change is the creation of the Commercial Unit, which will concentrate all activities related to the commercialization of products and systems, through sales by representation and distribution. After his successful experience at the Integrated Solutions Unit, engineer Paulo Frank will lead the Commercial Unit and change the way it operates: from now on, all product Management will be subordinate to him, in order to standardize the interface between Flow and partners. Likewise, all commercial areas of the regional offices will be under his leadership. A commercial management for the north/northeast was created, which will be coordinated by Salma Pereira, the first woman to lead one of the company's sectors, and a management for offshore platform operations, under the coordination of Eduardo Costa. This area will be responsible for assisting all offshore units, immediately after their entry into operation. A project pursuit area was also created, in which André Gonçalves will contribute with his long experience in product management, structuring and planning the pursuit of strategic projects.
The Integrated Solutions Unit will be led by engineer Roberto Spinola Chaves, who is leaving JPNOR Engenharia's management to assume this position, backed by his long experience in manufacturing, telecommunications, engineering and assembly. Its great challenge will be the continuation of new product launches with innovation, as periodically and successfully, the following systems were launched: complete terminal automation packages, steam recovery systems in road, rail and maritime shipments, cogeneration systems using microturbines for various plants with an emphasis on biogas, development of ethanol unloading skids with a capacity of 120m3/hour and others. With his experience in EPCs, Spinola will emphasize MAC/MIV packages to make Fluxo an excellent partner for EPCists in large projects, such as what has already happened with Mendes Júnior at the Barra do Riacho Terminal, with GDK at the compression stations Coari and Juaruna, with Galvão Engenharia at the Ilha Comprida Terminal, with Cattalini at the Paranaguá Chemical Terminal, among others.
The Services Unit follows the action plan outlined by Wladimir Castro, its leader, who is transforming most contracts on demand into contracts for availability, offering much more security to end customers. This unit aims to grow at the rate of 31% per year and should soon become a sustainability asset for the company.
All structural changes are being combined with a new use of the AP policy, that is, Individual Action Plans, in which each executive will have his/her AP, and through them, the company should organize itself and bring better results. For the AP policy to be definitively implemented, Fluxo hired consultant Paulo Cesar Lima, a former Odebrecht director, who, with his theoretical and practical knowledge on the subject, has helped a lot in implementing the method. What is observed today is that the three executives who coordinate the three Business Units are multipurpose. Each of the three can substitute for one another, based on their extensive individual experience. Another characteristic of the PAs is that the directors define their substitutes, so that the company's next steps regarding the succession of executives are clear and formalized.
Fluxo continues to emphasize its organic growth policy by hiring interns, who join the company as students and are invited to continue after their graduation. Many of Fluxo's leadership cadres today came from this origin. In this good environment, the company seeks to quickly enter the list of the 150 Best Companies to Work For, an annual survey carried out by Exame Magazine, which is now considered the largest organizational climate survey in the country.
