O Integrated Biogas Cleaning System (IBCS) Quadrogen's core and customizable technology is designed to purify biogas from challenging sources, such as landfills and wastewater treatment plants, to unparalleled purity levels, measured in parts per billion (ppbv).
How it works
IBCS uses the proprietary C³P Process, which involves:
- Condensation: the feed is cooled to condense water and other contaminants, such as siloxanes and organic compounds. The condensed liquids are then separated from the gas stream to remove a large portion of the contaminants without the use of any adsorbent medium.
- Conversion: The dry feed gas is treated through a hydrogen-assisted catalytic process, which converts problematic organic contaminants into a set of known and easily captured species.
- Capture: specially formulated sorbent media beds, specifically adapted to known species, produce a conversion step, capturing the remaining contaminants.
- Polishing: the biogas is further purified of contaminants to residual levels, on the order of parts per billion, in a unique purification step that provides reliable protection to downstream equipment, even at contaminant levels found in the incoming gas.

The patented C³P process purifies biogas and other gases, making them usable for generating renewable heat, electricity, biomethane, biodiesel, hydrogen, and carbon-neutral CO2 for greenhouses and hydroponics.
