Unigel maintains Leakwise for hydrocarbon detection
In March 2018, Fluxo supplied two new Leakwise replacement sensors to Unigel, the largest producer of acrylics and styrenics in Latin America, at its unit in Guarujá-SP, replacing sensors that had been installed 12 years ago.
The customer was extremely satisfied with Leakwise's equipment, which, over more than a decade, worked flawlessly and required just a few simple cleanings and adjustments to their own bench. In addition to replacing the old sensors, Unigel also upgraded its analog processors by installing a digital central processor that can be connected to up to four sensors.
At Unigel, there are still three more old Leakwise detectors that are working normally.
Technology based on precision and reliability
Leakwise's patented electromagnetic energy absorption technology can detect an oil film that is only 0.3 mm thick, which allows the detection of a possible leak of any type of hydrocarbon at the very beginning, making it possible to avoid environmental damage, in addition to of the operational improvements that this represents.
Israeli hydrocarbon detector manufacturer Leakwise is one of Fluxo's oldest partners, with more than 20 years in the distribution and installation of more than 100 detectors in 20 terminals, refineries and petrochemicals throughout Brazil.
Leakwise detectors are extremely robust and reliable, making them an excellent choice in a market where costs and maintenance requirements must be kept as low as possible.
