MTM: offshore tank control

Fluxo has been offering tank monitoring and control solutions also for offshore units since June 2009. This new activity was made possible thanks to the representation of another division of Emerson, MTM - Marine Tank Management.

Created in 2007, MTM, a subsidiary of Emerson Electric Co., has integrated world leaders with more than 50 years of experience in the marine market such as Damcos, Rosemount Marine, Level Datic and MAS2600. Together, these companies provide a complete solution for monitoring and controlling cargo and ballast tanks for all types of ships and offshore units. With technologies such as actuators and hydraulic systems, level transmitters and tank monitoring system, MTM is recognized for the quality and reliability of its products.

Damcos specializes in the design and manufacture of compact, rotary and linear balanced actuators for remote valve operation. They are applied in systems on board ships and offshore installations, which regulate the flow of fluids in different piping systems, requiring high performance and resistance.

Rosemount, with more than 30 years in the development of radar technology and a pioneer in the market for measuring the level of tanks on ships, provides a product with great reliability and safety.

LevelDatic is a remote level measurement system, based on electro-pneumatic measurement, that is, the hydrostatic pressure is measured by a continuous flow of air in the tanks, as these do not have sensors. The MAS 2600 is used for measuring the level of tanks in ship ballasts, as well as in oil and water tanks that are not abrasive to titanium, body material and sensor diaphragm.

The products are manufactured in China, Denmark, Finland, South Korea and Sweden, in addition to having its own sales offices in Russia, Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Croatia and Singapore.

MTM has a large installed base in Brazil, highlighting platforms P50, P51, P52, P53, P54 and P55, and with great prospects for increasing its business with the heated offshore market in Brazil.
