Rosemount TankRadar has just launched its wireless option for the Rex and Pro range of radars. Radar gauges, both new and existing, can be configured with an antenna for data communication over a wireless network. In this way, it is possible to monitor tanks in remote or difficult to access locations, increasing the security and availability of the tank park at a low cost.
The network uses the same Emerson wireless technology already approved in several installations inside and outside Brazil. The mesh network allows great distances, safely, regardless of environmental conditions and interference. Through the wireless network, the instruments can provide level information, level variation rate, temperature, pressure, in addition to several alarms. This information can be managed directly by the control system or incorporated into the asset management system for configuration and diagnostics.
