Petrobras is acquiring two City-gates from Daniel/Emerson, for the Gasbel II gas pipeline. City-gates will be supplied to the cities of São Brás do SuaçuÍ and Betim -MG, consolidating Daniel's position as one of the main suppliers of this type of equipment for Petrobras.
The contract signed with Petrobras comprises the supply of materials and services for the design, manufacture, construction, assembly, testing, conditioning, inspections, training, pre-operation and assistance for the operation of the City-gates, which must be manufactured in modules. The assembly will include all the civil and mechanical works, the interconnection piping from the filter module to the branch valve, in addition to all the electrical, automation and instrumentation works necessary for the integration of the delivery points.
The Gasbel II gas pipeline will double the flow of Gasbel I and meet Gasmig's demand, especially in the Vale do Aço region and the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. The 270 km gas pipeline will connect the municipality of Volta Redonda-RJ to the city of Queluzito-MG. With a nominal diameter of 18 inches, it will have a transport capacity of 5 million m³/day and a design pressure of 100.0 kgf/cm².
