Automind is responsible for automation at Repar

The Conpar Consortium formed by the companies Norberto Odebrecht SA, UTC Engenharia SA and Construtora OAS Ltda is implementing the units that make up the gasoline portfolio, hydrotreatment unit for unstable products, hydrogen generation unit and the coke portfolio of Repar (Refinery do Paraná). ), in the city of Araucária-PR. The project comprises eight industrial units: coke naphtha hydrotreating, naphtha fractionation, cracked naphtha hydrodesulfurization, H2S-DEA HDTI and gasoline removal, hydrogen generation, unstable current hydrotreating and catalytic reforming.

The Conpar Consortium hired Automind to optimize the implementation of the different automation projects at the refinery and to concentrate all activities related to these systems in a single person. This avoids the blurring of responsibilities of the various interfaces and reduces the start-up and pre-operation time of the units.

Repar has a supervision and control system (SSC) based on a currently defined platform, located in its integrated control center (CIC). In the process units there will be local control houses (CCL), in which the process controllers will be installed, both those belonging to the SSC and those supplied through "packages" - medium and large machines (centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors and pumps) and sub-processes (coke handling yard, decoking systems, oil mist and coke drum opening system). In addition to the integration of the packages, it is also necessary to promote the perfect integration of the Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus instruments to the SSC.

Automind's scope of supply involves a set of services such as supervision and technical assistance for the perfect integration of Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus packages and instruments to the SSC, consisting of a survey of the variables that will be sent to the SSC for each package, identification of the communication networks , mapping of variables for each package, analysis and compatibility of Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus instruments with the SSC, support for detailed design aimed at integrating Fieldbus packages and instrumentation, integrity tests and certification of the various networks (Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet), in addition to supporting SSC configuration, commissioning and field testing, and assisted operation.

In a first phase, the services will be developed together with the detailed engineering of the Conpar Consortium project, at its offices in Rio de Janeiro, in order to promote synergy between the project group and Automind's automation team. In a second phase, support will be given to factory acceptance tests at the SSC supplier. In the final phases, we will have support for the commissioning, field tests and assisted operation that will take place in Araucária-PR.
