Fisher, a division of Emerson Process Management, through its representatives Fluxo and Engistrel, supplied all control valves and self-operated valves for the new polypropylene plant of Petroquímica Paulínia SA - PPSA, in Paulínia-SP, a joint venture formed between Braskem and Petrobras through its subsidiary Petroquisa.
There were about 100 control valves and 20 self-operated valves that should be delivered by December 2007. The plant will start operating in the first quarter of 2008.
The new plant will have the capacity to produce up to 350 thousand tons per year of polypropylene, a thermoplastic resin with the highest consumption growth rate and with wide application in practically all industrial segments, especially in food packaging, domestic utilities, bottles for hygiene products personnel and cleaning, automotive parts, among others.
