The Manati Platform (PMNT-1), which recently went into operation in the Camamu Basin, southern Bahia, is the first platform that Petrobras participates in using the DELTA V supervisory system, from Emerson Process Management. This platform is producing more than three million m³ per day of natural gas, and is expected to reach six million in 2007, a production that meets the gas demand of the entire state.
PMNT-1 is an uninhabited platform, operated over 100km away through the gas treatment plant (São Francisco Station). The platform belongs to the consortium formed between Queiroz Galvão, Petrobras and Norske Energy. Emerson's DELTA V was provided by Fluxo, and the automation integration performed by Automind.
