BR automates 10 Terminals with Flow Solution
Petrobras, the largest distributor of petroleum products in the country, with more than 70 operational facilities between terminals, bases and depots, is automating its 10 main terminals with Fluxo for tank telemetry, valve motorization and truck loading systems. -tank.
BR standardized the use of a tank telemetry system with Saab Rosemount radar technology REX level gauges, which provide measurement accuracy of up to 0.5 mm of the measured level, with MTBF of 65 years, thermometer strips with multiple sensors of RTD-type temperature, by ROXSPUR, making the inventory of the product stock available online at the terminal; remote control system for motorized valves with Rotork IQ-II intelligent electric actuators, interconnected to each other and to a redundant Master Station by a two-wire ring, providing maximum safety and control in the remote operation of valves from the terminal, as well as a history of torque of these valves, which allows the programming of their predictive maintenance; Daniel (Emerson) tank truck loading systems, composed of an electronic volume predeterminer DANLOAD 6000, equipment of great flexibility, robustness and expandability of I/O modules, which monitor the grounding and anti-overflow permits and control the injection of in-line additives, turbine-type flow meters, digital loading control valves with opening and closing proportional to the flow, a linear control of the same and, in this way, guaranteeing a faster and safer operation, and, RTD-type temperature sensors from Rosemount.
Petrobras Distribuidora looked for proven, cutting-edge technologies that would guarantee the best cost-benefit ratio. According to Raul Delgado, Head of Special Projects and New Technologies at BR, the choice for Saab was due to the experience and studies carried out by Petrobras/Abast-Ref Engineering, which standardized this equipment for measuring the level of tanks in refineries. The option for Rotork was due to its exclusive two-wire ring interconnection system, which guarantees maximum redundancy and system availability. The option for the Daniel loading system, on the other hand, was greater control and precision in the loading of tanker trucks, with a reduction in the cost of preventive and corrective maintenance.
