Modernization and expansion: Terin's revolution with FLUXO technology
The expansion project at Terin's terminal in Paranaguá - PR, is an excellent example of the application of advanced automation technologies to optimize the handling of flammables and other liquid bulk cargoes. This project has not only raised the terminal's operational standards, but also improved safety and efficiency in the handling of various fluids.
Four loading and unloading islands were set up, each equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure fast and safe operations. Terin's loading and unloading skids were made up of Honeywell Enraf's Fusion 4 MSC-L electronic presets, known for their intuitive graphic interface and ability to carry out multiple simultaneous loads. The mass meters were of the Coriolis type, which allow direct mass flow measurement and density measurement for automatic interlocking in the event of deviation from quality parameters. They also had pneumatic control valves with Masoneilan positioners and EXATA grounding and overfill monitors.
The systems implemented by FLUXO were designed to maximize operational efficiency while maintaining the highest safety standards, which are essential when handling flammable and high-risk cargo. The solutions are part of an expansion project at the terminal, where 25 new tanks were added, significantly increasing the terminal's storage capacity.
The tank telemetry system supplied by FLUXO has Honeywell Enraf Flexline radars, which ensure extremely precise measurements, as well as thermometric tapes for temperature compensation and CIU, for calculating volume as a function of temperature, and a tonnage table, following the existing terminal model.
Terin's terminal in Paranaguá stands out for its versatility, serving a wide range of liquid bulk, including flammables. The expansion aims to increase service capacity, further diversifying the types of cargo that can be handled effectively. With strategic investment in diversifying and improving the services offered, increasing storage capacity and implementing cutting-edge technology, Terin has positioned itself as a key player in the liquid bulk market.
FLUXO played a vital role in this project. The supply of the road loading and unloading skids and the tank telemetry system highlights FLUXO's ability to offer complete liquid bulk inventory management solutions. The project represents a milestone in the logistics and liquid bulk transport sector in Paraná, positioning FLUXO as a leading player in the modernization and efficiency of terminal automation processes in Brazil.
