Automind develops the automation of Ultracargo's Suape and Aratu Terminals
At the end of last year, Automind established a partnership with Ultracargo for the automation of its chemical and fuel storage and handling terminals. In 2009, Automind completed the implementation of the Automation System at the Itaqui Terminal in São Luiz-MA, also belonging to Ultracargo, and is now starting the automation process at the Aratu-BA and Suape-PE Terminals. The implementation of the Aratu and Suape Terminal Automation Systems will be completed in the first half of 2014. The partnership consolidates Automind as an important provider of terminal management and automation systems in the Brazilian market.
At the Suape Terminal, Automind is automating the loading and unloading platform, integrating tank level measurement and automating the pump park. In addition, automated access control for tanker trucks and integration with Ultracargo's ERP was implemented. In Aratu, the terminal automation process is being started, providing an interlocking and hose control system for better safety and efficiency in the terminal loading and unloading process.
Currently, Ultracargo is the market leader in the field of storage and handling of chemical products and fuels in Brazil. The Suape terminal is the most complete port center in the Northeast Region and the Aratu Terminal is responsible for 60% of all cargo handled by sea in Bahia.
