In October, Rotork Controls launched the new Master Station model P3 during the ISA International Fair in Houston, Texas. The new version of the equipment offers innovations such as a high-resolution color panel, recording of all information exchanged with the actuators and control system, secure internet server with built-in firewall for accessing information from the actuator network, alarms via e-mail, remote configuration of actuators, support for several languages, among others.
Like the previous model Master Station IIE, the new Master P3 communicates with the supervisory system on Modbus and allows supervision and control of up to 240 actuators in a single 2-wire loop up to 20 km in length. In addition to the great savings in cabling expenses, the Pakscan system allows tolerance to the occurrence of a fault, ensuring the continuous operation of the system, isolating and quickly identifying the point of failure, and maintaining communication between the other actuators. Add to this the wide variety of diagnostic, parameterization and alarm tools, in addition to the possibility of controlling other devices (pumps, transmitters, among others).
