Rosemount ensures LPG inventory control at Replan

Replan will have at its disposal, in the control room, an accurate and reliable level measurement for the monitoring and inventory control of its tank park. Automation will be carried out through the automatic in-tank telemetry system from Rosemount TankRadar, formerly Saab Rosemount.

In partnership with Fluxo, Rosemount TankRadar supplied 17 model REX 3960 radar level transmitters to the Paulínia Refinery - Replan, in São Paulo. The radars will be installed in pressurized spheres of liquefied petroleum gas - LPG - and will be responsible for controlling Replan's inventory.

The radars will have real-time remote monitoring, with redundancy in communication and will be integrated into the refinery's existing telemetry system, which already comprises around 160 Rosemount radars. The equipment has already been delivered by Fluxo, which is waiting for the next stop of the spheres to start the installation.
The Paulínia Refinery is Petrobras' largest refinery, with a processing capacity of 365 Mbpd. Its monthly production of gasoline is 340 thousand m³, enough to supply 6.8 million cars; 920 thousand m³ of diesel, which can supply 1.4 million trucks; not to mention the monthly average of LPG: 170 thousand m³, enough to fill five million 13kg cylinders.
