Tax measurement at UN-BA (ANP)

Fluxo, together with its exclusive representative for Brazil, Daniel Measurement, from the Emerson Process Management group, won a tender at the end of 2001, for the supply of 71 (seventy-one) Gas Measurement Stations. These Stations were supplied to the UN-BA and are part of the project to adapt to the requirements of the ANP (Fiscal Measurement).

Each Station was composed of a main section with burnished tubes, four full-bore ball valves, a double chamber Senior Orifice Fitting plate holder valve, RTD-type temperature sensor, by-pass to accommodate a reserve measurement section, computer Floboss 407 flowmeter powered by solar panel and MVS sensors. The systems were all manufactured in compliance with AGA 3 and were certified for use in fiscal measurement by the IPT (a laboratory accredited by INMETRO).

Fluxo/Emerson competed with three more companies, but it was the only proposal technically qualified by Petrobras. This did not happen by chance, as Daniel is one of the world's largest manufacturers of liquid and gas measurement systems, with extensive experience in this type of application, which was fundamental to our success in this project.

During 2002, the contract was amended to supply another 22 (twenty-two) EMED's.
