{"id":5817,"date":"2022-02-11T18:33:20","date_gmt":"2022-02-11T18:33:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fluxo.si\/?p=5817"},"modified":"2022-07-05T13:15:30","modified_gmt":"2022-07-05T13:15:30","slug":"upgn-de-itaborai-com-emeds-fluxo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fluxo.si\/en\/newsletter\/43\/upgn-de-itaborai-com-emeds-fluxo\/","title":{"rendered":"UPGN of Itabora\u00ed will measure Natural and Condensed Gas with FLUXO's EMEDs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the end of last year, after two and a half years of signing the contract, FLUXO closed an agreement with Kerui-M\u00e9todo to finally carry out the delivery of the Natural Gas and Natural Gas Condensed Measurement Systems to the Gas Processing Unit Natural (UPGN) of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/petrobras.com.br\/pt\/nossas-atividades\/principais-operacoes\/refinarias\/polo-gaslub-itaborai.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Polo GasLub Itabora\u00ed,<\/a> old Comperj.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter several interruptions, we understand that the progress of the negotiations was a great victory\u201d, celebrates Daniel Barros, Director of Operations at FLUXO. This negotiation was also very important for Petrobras, which was active throughout the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FLUXO delivered two <a href=\"https:\/\/fluxo.si\/en\/produto\/estacao-de-medicao-fiscal-transferencia-de-custodia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Natural Gas EMEDs<\/a>, which together are capable of measuring more than 15 million Nm\u00b3\/day, and in 2021 two more<a href=\"https:\/\/fluxo.si\/en\/produto\/unidades-de-estabilizacao-de-condensado\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Natural Gas Condensate EMEDs<\/a>, capable of measuring more than 3 million m\u00b3\/day. Petrobras opted for the traditional orifice plate for measuring natural gas and for intrusive ultrasonic flow meters for measuring condensate. The great challenge of this project was to have a low pressure drop to maintain the characteristics of the fluids during measurements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EMEDs will be installed at the entrance of the Natural Gas Processing Unit, as required by the ANP. Its main function is to add up the amount of product that arrives at the UPGN so that Petrobras is able to pay the royalties to the Union, which are calculated based on the production values of the fields per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Petrobras plans to start the operation of the UPGN in Itabora\u00ed by the end of the first half of 2022, when the two EMEDS will also be started.
