Fluxo, known for having great partners in the supply of automation equipment, now has strong support in the provision of services. Newly represented is Metco, a division of Emerson Process Management that specializes in fluid metering management services. The new partnership is already bearing fruit: Fluxo - Metco will provide inspection services at the measurement facilities at the natural gas delivery points on the Brazilian side of the Gasbol (Gasoduto Bolivia Brasil).<\/p>\n
The Gasbol, which began to be built in 1997 and went into operation two years later, has 3,150 km, of which 2,593 km are in Brazilian territory. It starts at the Natural Gas Processing Unit in Rio Grande, Bolivia, and ends in Porto Alegre, cutting through the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, S\u00e3o Paulo, Paran\u00e1, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, and passing through about four thousand properties located in 137 municipalities.<\/p>\n
Engineer Carlos Eduardo Barateiro, commercial manager of the Metco Division, stated that this is the most important gas pipeline in operation in Brazil, and the largest in South America: \u201cthe pipeline starts with 32'' and ends with 16'', with potential flow of 30 million m\u00b3\/d, figures that express the importance of the work that Metco will carry out in a period of 300 days\u201d, he explains.<\/p>\n
